Quality Roasting Welcomes New CEO

Quality Roasting, a manufacturer of soybean meal and oil products, is welcoming a new CEO effective Jan. 1. Meet Erin Davis.

Davis has led growth of the company since 2016. With two soy processing plants in Wisconsin, Davis led the expansion of Quality Roasting with the addition of a third plant in Reese, MI in 2019. She also led the design of a state-of-the-art food-grade oil refinery in Valders, WI in 2018. She is overseeing the current construction of a new refinery in Reese, MI. The company is also adding a third Wisconsin soy processing plant in Reedsville, WI. Quality Roasting plans to have the plant in full operation before spring of 2024.

Davis earned a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering and emphasis in food processing from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities.

“With her proven track record of effective decision-making, strategic planning and fostering collaboration among team members, we have complete confidence that Erin will build on our current successes and drive the company forward,” says the company owners and board of directors.

Davis is the daughter of Dr. Lynn Davis, the secretary on the board. She is excited to take on this new role as a second-generation family member. 

“Quality Roasting has proven to add value to our local soybean farmers and be the choice supplier of soybean products to both the feed and food industries,” Davis says. “With the support of our dedicated team, I look forward to utilizing our past success to continue the company’s growth.”

Scott Rabe, current CEO and one of four owners of the company, will maintain ownership in the company. He will transition into a role as executive advisor and director of grain merchandising.

“I have enjoyed leading the operations team at Quality Roasting and look forward to continuing to provide support throughout the next steps in my journey with our incredible Quality Roasting team,” Rabe says. “I am excited for Erin in her new role and the continued growth she will be leading.”
