Don’t Miss Breakfast

Mark your calendars for Dane County Breakfast on the Farm June 11 at Haag Dairy in Dane, Wisconsin.

Breakfast begins at 7 a.m. and goes until 11:30 a.m. Guests can enjoy a hearty menu featuring cheesy scrambled eggs, pancakes, sausage, yogurt, cheese, ice cream, milk and coffee. More samples of Wisconsin dairy products will be offered in the Expo Area.

Event admission includes parking, breakfast and all activities. Kids ages 2 and under are free. Ages 3-11 are $5. Ages 12 and up are $10. Only cash or check will be accepted.

John Haag visits with Mid-West Farm Report, explaining everything people need to know upon arriving at the farm. Haag explains this event is important for education in two ways: it connects consumers to how their dairy is produced, and it raises money for scholarships and student activities.

As far as entertainment goes, you’ll hear from emcee Pam Jahnke as she interviews the breakfast hosts and others; enjoy live music; explore the Expo Area featuring dairy information and food samples; move your milk muscles in the Dairy Fitness Zone; meet Alice in Dairyland and local dairy ambassadors and royalty; test your toss into a cheese hole, bean bag games; meet Bessy the Dane Dairy Cow…along with many other furry and feathery friends; view large machinery displays; and get your face painted.
