Alyssa Shisler of Holmen, is the Wisconsin State Fair Dairy Goat Supreme Exhibitor. The Supreme Exhibitor award is based on a junior exhibitor’s overall achievements at the 2023 Fair from points earned participating in the Junior Dairy Goat show, Quiz contest, Communication contest and Showmanship.
Shisler has exhibited at Wisconsin State Fair for the past five years. She is a high school sophomore that has participated in both the junior and open shows at Wisconsin State Fair. Besides exhibiting her own dairy goat herd, she also assists other fellow exhibitors. In the future, Shisler plans to continue working with her dairy goats in addition to attending a university to major in nursing and obtain a minor in French.
When asked about her favorite memory, Shisler stated that her favorite memory was “…playing card games in the commons with all the dairy goat youth at the Junior Show in the Tommy G. Thompson Youth Center. I think it is so amazing the bonds I build in a week and they continue right where we left off the previous year. It truly is my favorite week of summer as I get to be with people my age who have the same passion and drive as I do.”
