Hands-On Soil Health Clinic

Local farmer Dale Theel, of Greendale Farms, in partnership with Between the Lakes Demonstration Farm Network, is holding a soil health field day at his farm on October 20th, 2021 from 10am to 2pm and the public is invited to attend.

Come out to the farm to see soil health practices in action, and to learn from farmers, agronomists, and soil health educators about how you can put soil health practices to work on your land! This field day will provide attendees the opportunity to see a variety of different cover crops, view soil and roots through a soil pit, and to watch a native prairie installation with a prairie strips planting demo. This event is free to the public, with coffee and baked goods from Higher Grounds Coffee Shop in Beaver Dam provided in the morning and lunch from Edens Catering provided in the afternoon. Please register by October 13th for an accurate count for lunch. To register, visit https://go.wisc.edu/soilhealthclinic-register or call (608) 590-5758.
