Grain Prices Up From 2020

The average price received by farmers for corn during October in Wisconsin was $4.79 per bushel, according to the
latest USDA, National Agricultural Statistics Service’s agricultural prices report. This was $1.03 below the September
price but $1.42 above October 2020.

The October 2021 average price received by farmers for soybeans, at $11.80 per bushel, was 10 cents below the September price but $2.25 above the October 2020 price.

The October average oat price per bushel, at $4.04, was 86 cents above September and $1.61 above October 2020.

All hay prices in Wisconsin averaged $147 per ton in October. This was unchanged from the September price but $12 below the October 2020 price. The October 2021 alfalfa hay price, at $164, was $4 above the previous month but
$6 below October 2020. The average price received for other hay during October was $110 per ton. This was
unchanged from the September price but $22 below October last year.
