February Prices Are In – What Did You Get?

The average price received by Wisconsin farmers for corn during February was $4.14 per bushel. This was 31 cents below the January price and $2.20 below February 2023.

The data comes from the latest ag prices report from USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service.

The February average price received by farmers for soybeans, at $12.10 per bushel, was 50 cents below the January price and $2.70 below the February 2023 price.

The February average oat price per bushel, at $4.08, was 8 cents below January and 50 cents below February 2023.

All hay prices in Wisconsin averaged $179 per ton in February. This was $12 below the January price but
$19 above the February 2023 price. The February 2024 alfalfa hay price, at $186, was $13 below the
previous month but $17 above February 2023. The average price received for other hay during February was $152 per ton. This was $2 below the January price but $43 above February last year.

The Wisconsin all-milk price for February 2024 was $19 per hundredweight (cwt). This was $1 above January’s price but $1.40 below last February’s price. The U.S. all-milk price for February was $20.60 per cwt, $1.60 higher than Wisconsin’s price and 50 cents higher than last month’s U.S. price.
