Dairy Signal To Feature Industry Leaders

Professional Dairy Producers® (PDPW), announces the line-up of speakers for week 64 of The Dairy Signal™. Episodes this week feature the latest in silage quality from two “rising stars”, keeping calves cool and comfortable during summer months and a look inside the country’s largest dairy cooperative.

The Dairy Signal wraps up in June with presentations from two “rising stars” from the research team of Dr. Luiz Ferraretto, Ruminant Nutrition Extension Specialist, University of Wisconsin – Madison, including Ben Saylor, Ruminant Nutrition PhD Candidate and Cole Diepersloot, MS Student, Department of Animal and Dairy Sciences. They will share the latest research updates on silage quality and its nutritive value.

Dr. Geof Smith, DVM, MS, PhD, Veterinarian, Dairy Technical Services, Zoetis and Sherry Arnold, Busse’s Barron Acres, Barron, Wis., will share their perspective on keeping calves cool during the summer months. Kristen Coady, Senior Vice President of Corporate Affairs and David Darr, Senior Vice President and Chief Strategy and Sustainability Officer, both at Dairy Farmers of America (DFA), will share how DFA remains competitive and innovative on behalf of its dairy farmer members.

Developed by fellow dairy farmers from the PDPW Board of Directors, The Dairy Signal is a weekly series of free educational episodes offering insights and resources for fellow dairy farmers and other food system professionals throughout the value chain. The episodes air live from 12:00-1:00 PM CT each Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday; recorded sessions are available later in the day.
