Cambridge Native Selected as 2021 Wisconsin Honey Queen

The Wisconsin Honey Producers Association is proud to announce that Anna Evenson of Cambridge, Wisconsin was selected as the 2021 Wisconsin Honey Queen.  Anna is the daughter of Jeffery and Laura Evenson of Cambridge, Wisconsin.  She is a student the University of Wisconsin – Platteville majoring in Dairy Science with an emphasis in Public Relations.

Anna is the state-wide spokesperson for the Wisconsin Honey Producers Association and beekeepers throughout the state.  Anna travels the state to promote the beekeeping industry in Wisconsin.  She is available to speak in person or virtually with civic groups, schools, youth groups, and senior centers, and to appear at fairs, festivals, and farmers markets.  Her presentations address the importance of honeybees in agriculture and in our food supply.  In addition, she speaks about the healthful and healing properties of honey and other products of the hive.  She also addresses the unique varieties of honey in Wisconsin and shares information about honeybee biology.  In January 2022, Anna will represent Wisconsin at the American Honey Queen competition at the American Beekeeping Federation Convention in Las Vegas, Nevada.
