WSMB Seeking Proposals to Further Education

The Wisconsin Soybean Marketing Board (WSMB) is welcoming new ideas to help promote, educate and contribute to overall soybean production in the state.

WSMB is actively seeking proposals for fiscal year 2025 to achieve these goals and generate new vendor relationships.

A successful proposal will have a strong tie to soy and will align with the goal of WSMB’s Leadership Development/Executive Committee. It will identify and develop additional soybean leaders and also spread awareness of the importance of soybean products to industry, influencers and consumers. A successful proposal should identify how the proposed research, marketing, studies or promotion will contribute toward fulfilling that mission.

To be considered, a brief outline of the project or campaign and a plan of how to communicate the results in a 250-word overview is required. Other requirements include having lists of deliverables, a timeline and also a budget. Contracts will be valid for one year.

There is no limit on the number of briefs that a vendor can submit. However, they must be complete and generally independent of one another.

WSMB will conduct an open, fair evaluation of all proposals. These proposals will be reviewed by a broad range of farmers and experts prior to selection.

The opportunity to collaborate with the Board of Directors, Agency of Record and staff to develop as well as explore the selected projects will occur after the formal board approval. Funds awarded cannot be used for lobbying or influencing legislation at any government level.

All proposals are due by 5 p.m. CDT May 10, 2024. Late proposals will not be considered.
