WPVGA Launches Permanent Scholarship Fund

WPVGA Associate Division Pledges $15,000 to Launch Endowment

The Wisconsin Potato and Vegetable Growers Association (WPVGA) partnered with the Community Foundation of Central Wisconsin (CFCWI). Together, they established a lasting scholarship fund. This fund supports current students and future agricultural leaders.

How the Fund Works

The Community Foundation manages this long-term endowment. They invest every dollar to grow the fund over time. Consequently, the fund generates scholarship awards year after year. This setup ensures your current investment pays forward for decades.

The Purpose

This fund invests directly in the next generation of industry leaders. Funds will help strengthen the workforce and promotes fresh innovation. It also drives long-term sustainability for the vital agricultural industry. Ultimately, this sector feeds families and fuels our state’s economy.

Who Qualifies

This scholarship targets students within the WPVGA community. Specifically, it helps those who carry the industry in their roots. It supports students working to build the future of agriculture.

The Campaign Goal

The WPVGA Associate Division already pledged $15,000 to launch this fund. Now, the fund needs just $13,000 more to reach endowed status. Hitting this threshold unlocks full long-term growth. As a result, the foundation can award these scholarships forever.

Founding contributors will be recognized at Associate Division events. These include the WPVGA Industry Show and Student Development programs. Additionally, we will feature donors in the Badger Common’Tater magazine and Tater Talk electronic newsletter.
