Eight winners earned honors from a pool of 31 finalists and over 200 nominees at the 2024 Wisconsin Innovation Awards.
“The Wisconsin Innovation Awards aim to celebrate and inspire innovation, showcasing the creative spirit of the state’s top… sectors,” says co-founder Matt Younkle. “We extend our congratulations to all the finalists and winners of the 2024 Wisconsin Innovation Awards.”
The event celebrated the state’s most innovative products and services across eight diverse industry categories. A panel of 14 experts, representing various sectors, including agriculture, selected the winners.
Woollets, LLC took home the top prize in the agriculture category. Woollets, based in Argyle, makes wool pellets. These are a sustainable replacement for peat for farmers, gardeners, and houseplant enthusiasts. The company buys wool at a fair price from Wisconsin farmers removing unsold wool from the waste stream and repurposing it into a soil amendment, providing new revenue for Wisconsin wool farmers.
