The Wisconsin Pork Association (WPA) is excited to announce that the Advancing U.S. Pork Sustainability and Market Value grant program is now available to all Wisconsin farmers! This grant opportunity offers pork producers and row crop farmers a unique opportunity to receive financial and technical support to adopt and maintain conservation practices.
This program provides incentives for farming practices, such as cover crops, swine management and energy-efficient barn upgrades—helping protect your freedom to operate, boost your market position and attract supply chain partners committed to sustainable practices. Participants receive not only financial incentives but are also matched with a technical advisor to ensure effective implementation while meeting increasing market demands for pork.
Here’s how the program supports producers in securing their farm’s resiliency and freedom to
operate—helping them create a lasting impact on their operations.
Key Benefits
- Earn Financial Incentives
The program offers a range of financial incentives that reward producers for implementing and maintaining climate-smart agricultural practices. By participating, producers can receive monetary support to cover some of the costs of qualifying practices. - Strengthen Market Position
Increase your market appeal by aligning with retailers’ and foodservice companies’ demand for sustainable pork. Producers can attract more customers and meet increasing market demands for environmentally conscious products by tracking and sharing their sustainability practices. - Attract Supply Chain Partners
Gain visibility as a preferred partner for companies prioritizing ethical and responsible practices. As sustainability becomes an increased priority across the supply chain, support your growth and resilience by attracting interest from companies looking to work with producers that align with the industry’s We Care® Ethical Principles. - Protect Your Freedom to Operate
Secure your ability to make farm decisions that benefit your business and the longevity of your operation. By proactively adopting and documenting these practices, you retain the freedom to make decisions that suit your business and build a foundation for long-term success.
The mission of the Wisconsin Pork Association is to promote and protect the state’s pork industry in order to ensure its success now and in the future.
