Wisconsin Rises To The Top In Milking Shorthorn Show

Intermediate Champion of the International Milking Shorthorn Show went to Heavenly Hushpuppy-EXP, owned by Tyler Endres and Peter Vail of Reedsburg, Wis. For this honor, they also received the Eugene Nelson Intermediate Champion Award.

The winning Fall Calf of both the open and junior show, Maunesha Creek Excite Me-EXP, was tapped for Reserve Junior Champion and Junior Champion respectively. Excite Me is leased by Justin Brandel and owned by Mena E Schmitt of Lake Mills, Wis.

Lazy M Farm LLC, of Stitzer, Wis., had a great day in the International Milking Shorthorn show, claiming Premier Exhibitor and Premier Breeder of both the heifer and cow shows.

Additionally, in the International Junior Milking Shorthorn Show, the Reserve Intermediate Champion went to Lazy M Jekyll Zella-EXP owned by Britton Allen of Belmont, Wis.

Reserve Junior Champion went to the winning Spring Yearling Heifer Old-N-Slow Lapdance-EXP-ET, owned by Dana Johnson of Tomah, Wis.

Official judge Brandon Ferry of Hilbert, Wis., and associate judge, Mike Gregory of Hebron, Ill., evaluated 234 Milking Shorthorn entries in the open show and 94 entries in the junior show.
