While Pacific Edge VIP Tessah-ET, owned by Brent Rocha and Coltan Seals of Tillamook, Ore., was named Grand Champion Female at the 2024 International Junior Jersey Show, Wisconsin competitors had a strong showing.
Rolling Spring Premier Lucille-ET, owned by Evan Jauquet of Pulaski, Wis., stood alongside the Grand Champion as the Reserve Grand Champion. She was also named Senior Champion and won the Junior in the Lifetime Cheese Production class.
Wisconsin also claimed the Reserve Intermediate Champion title with Annettes VIP Annie-ET, owned by Caroline Powers and Emma Paulson of Columbus, Wis., as the top Senior Two-Year-Old. Miss Ronde Rosabella-ET, owned by Mia Smith and Kamrie Maurie of Elroy, Wis., was awarded Reserve Senior Champion.
In the Junior Champion category, Meadowridge Flawless Cranberry, exhibited by Mark, Kaity, and Tani Riebe and Alleah and Lexi Anderson of Cumberland, Wis., took top honors, winning the Winter Yearling Heifer class. Reserve Junior Champion went to Johnson Five Kid Vanessa-ET, owned by Trace Johnson, Kayla Trustem, and Cullen Bryce of Evansville, Wis., who also placed first in the Summer Yearling Heifer class.
The show, judged by Wisconsin’s own Ryan Krohlow of Poynette, Wis., alongside associate judge Jean-Phillipe Charest of Saint Alexandre, Quebec, Canada, featured 145 junior Jersey entries.
