U.S. Farmers & Ranchers in Action (USFRA) has elected five new board members, including Wisconsin farmer Terry Quam. USFRA represents farmers, ranchers, and leading agricultural organizations across the country.
The new board members are Randall Dodds of Tractor Supply Company, Tina Jennen of the Sisseton-Wahpeton Oyate, Terry Quam of the Cattlemen’s Beef Board, and also Chad Schooley of South Dakota Soybean. Corey Geiger of CoBank joins as a board advisor.
“Terry Quam has been a dedicated advocate for Wisconsin agriculture,” USFRA Chair Michael Crinion said. “His leadership will help drive solutions for food production, sustainability, and the future of farming.”
Quam owns Marda Angus Farms in Lodi, Wisconsin, where he raises high-quality Angus cattle. He is involved with the Wisconsin Beef Council, NCBA, Farm Bureau, and Wisconsin Corn Growers. He also served as chairman of the University of Wisconsin Discovery Farms.
USFRA also elected its executive committee for the year. Farmer Michael Crinion of Edge Dairy Farmer Cooperative will serve as chair. Farmer Chip Bowling of Maryland Grain Producers Association will be vice chair and treasurer. Farmer Marilyn Hershey of Dairy Management Inc. will be immediate past chair. Doug Berven of POET will serve as secretary, and Julie Fussner of Culver’s will also be on the committee.
Several board members were re-elected, including Tim Faveri of Nutrien, Dr. Marcus Bernard of MANRRS, and Dr. Justin Ransom of Tyson Foods. Jennifer Crall of Bayer Crop Science will continue as a board advisor.
