Wisconsin Excels in Brown Swiss Show

At the 2024 International Brown Swiss Show, Wisconsin had notable successes.

The Reserve Intermediate Champion was Just So D Tangerine, owned by Just So Farm, in Lake Mills. Tangerine also took home the award for the winning Summer Junior Two-Year-Old. Additionally, Jenlar Rasta Westlynn-ETV, owned by Siemers Holsteins Farm, Inc. of Newton, was honored as the Junior Champion. She also received the Norman E. Magnussen Memorial Award after winning the Fall Yearling Heifer class.

Just So Farm of Lake Mills, was recognized as the Premier Exhibitor. Opsal-JH and Black Ridge Genetics of Blue Mounds also received accolades as Premier Breeder and Exhibitor of the Heifer Show.

Overall, Wisconsin’s achievements at the event highlighted the state’s excellence in Brown Swiss breeding and genetics. The show featured 379 entries and was evaluated by official judge Phillip Topp of Botkins, Ohio, and associate judge Kaleb Kruse of Dyersville, Iowa.
