Crops

The average price received by farmers for corn during July 2024 in Wisconsin was $4.08 per bushel according to the latest USDA, National Agricultural Statistics Service – Agricultural Prices report. This was 16 cents below the June price and $2.08 below July 2023.

The July 2024 average price received by farmers for soybeans, at $11.90 per bushel, was 90 cents below the June price and $2.80 below the July 2023 price.

The July average oat price per bushel, at $3.38, was 15 cents above June but 44 cents below July 2023.
All hay prices in Wisconsin averaged $150.00 per ton in July. This was $40.00 below the June price but $10.00 above the July 2023 price. The July 2024 alfalfa hay price, at $163.00, was $36.00 below the previous month but $13.00 above July 2023. The average price received for other hay during July was $117.00 per ton. This was $19.00 below the June price but unchanged from July last year.

The average price for milk was $21.90 per cwt, 20 cents below the June price but $6.20 above July 2023.The Wisconsin all milk price for July 2024 was $21.90 per hundredweight (cwt) according to the latest USDA, National Agricultural Statistics Service – Agricultural Prices report. This was 20 cents below last month’s price but $6.20 above last July’s price. The U.S. all milk price for July was $22.80 per cwt, 90 cents higher than Wisconsin’s price but unchanged from last month’s U.S. price.
