The Wisconsin FFA Alumni & Supporters Convention is happening Feb. 3-4 in Waukesha.
The 43rd annual convention will be at the Milwaukee Marriott West Hotel and Convention Center. This year’s theme focuses on the four major roles of FFA Alumni membership: advocate, donor, mentor and volunteer.
On Friday, join in on tours of American Family Field and Mitchell Park Domes. Friday evening will feature a dinner buffet, silent and live auctions, and entertainment by singer/songwriter Tim O’Grady.
On Saturday, enjoy breakfast before the opening business session, section meetings and roundtable discussion. Following lunch and the annual business meeting, workshops will run at 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. covering a number of topics. These topics include: ag education program at Milwaukee Vincent High School; resources and support for chapter leaders; how to be a great alumni member; volunteerism; advocacy; water management; and barn quilts.
The convention will conclude Saturday evening with the annual awards banquet and program, retirement of state association President Terri Wilfert and annual fundraising auction. Proceeds from the auctions help support leadership development and educational programs and activities for FFA members throughout the state.
