Four collegiate students have been selected as Wisconsin Farm Bureau’s Event Ambassadors. In the third year of this program, Frannie Everson, Kelly Herness, Parker Litterick and Brooke Mallek will use digital platforms to share highlights from the WFBF Annual Meeting & YFA Conference. The meeting and conference will be held Dec. 5-8, 2025 at the Kalahari Resort and Convention Center in Wisconsin Dells.
Foremost, the goal of the ambassador program is to provide collegiate students with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience. They will do so by covering an event while also having a strong social media presence for a unique audience. These positions require writing skills relevant to social media, the ability to capture and edit photos, an understanding of social media content creation and strategy, and an eye for capturing the most interesting stories within a fast-paced environment.
Frannie Everson
Frannie is a junior studying animal science at UW-River Falls. She grew up on a small hobby farm in Alma Center, Wis. There, she raised diversified livestock for showing at the Jackson County Fair and Wisconsin State Fair. She is excited for the opportunity to learn more about Wisconsin Farm Bureau through the event ambassador program.
Kelly Herness
Kelly is a senior at UW-Madison, double-majoring in agricultural and applied economics and life sciences communication, with a certificate in public policy. She grew up on her family’s dairy and crop farm in western Wisconsin. Kelly is involved in the agriculture community at UW-Madison. She does so through Collegiate Farm Bureau and the Association of Women in Agriculture, holding leadership positions in both organizations. Kelly is looking forward to improving her communication skills. She also looks forward to becoming an effective agriculture advocate and bridge the gap between farmers, policymakers and the public.
Parker Litterick
Parker is a senior at Iowa State University studying agricultural communication. She grew up on a small dairy farm in Theresa, Wis. At Iowa State, she serves as an ambassador for ISU’s College of Agriculture and is active in Agricultural Communicators of Tomorrow. Through ACT, she writes for the club’s magazine. Parker is a former Wisconsin State FFA Officer. She has completed internships with WHO Radio’s The Big Show and with Agri-Pulse Communications in Washington, D.C. She is excited to come home to Wisconsin’s agriculture community, sharpen her communication skills and promote Wisconsin Farm Bureau.
Brooke Mallek
Brooke is from central Wisconsin and is currently studying agricultural education at UW-Platteville. She grew up showing livestock and working on her family’s farm where she learned the value of dedication and community. She enjoys channeling her creativity through photography. It allows her to capture authentic moments and telling agriculture stories in ways that inspire understanding and connection.
