Volunteer for Public Lands Day

National Public Lands Day, the nation’s largest single-day volunteer effort, is set for Saturday, Sept. 28, 2024. Held annually on the fourth Saturday of September, this event offers a great opportunity to give back to Wisconsin’s public lands through volunteering.

Volunteers can contribute as their schedule allows, whether for a few hours or over multiple weeks. Whether helping at a property workday or serving as a campground host, every contribution helps improve the natural spaces we enjoy.

To explore available volunteer opportunities, visit the Wisconsin State Park System’s Volunteer Impact System website to apply online or complete a Volunteer Application Form (2500-106). Information about park locations and mailing addresses is also available through the Find a Park webpage.
