The summer will continue as planned for Cayley Vande Berg, the Wisconsin Fairest of the Fairs!
Vande Berg is a recent graduate of the University of Wisconsin-River Falls with a Bachelor’s Degree in Dairy Science and an Agricultural Business Minor. After a different year last summer, she is now able to move forward with what a traditional Wisconsin Fairest of the Fairs would experience.
She began the summer with fair crowning events and soon will attend the 75 county, district, and state fairs while promoting Wisconsin agriculture and the fair industry. “In my eyes, Wisconsin Fairs are for bringing communities together, showcasing Wisconsin agriculture and for growing our 4-H and FFA youth” Vande Berg says with looking forward to this year seeing all the unique fairs.
Last year she served during the pandemic and Vande Berg says, “That untraditional time opened the door for creative and unique ways to provide communities with a taste of the Wisconsin State Fair.” She participated in the Wisconsin State Fair Necessities, Bank Five Nine Fair Food Drive Thru, and her favorite was the Traveling Cream Puff’s presented by Festival Foods.
Vande Berg is also looking forward to being the official host later in summer at the Wisconsin State Fair August 5-15. Attend a county fair in your area and you might see her! Check out the Wisconsin Association of Fairs Website!
