USMCA Decision Victory For Wisconsin Dairy

The following statement can be attributed to Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation President Kevin Krentz:

““The U.S. has signed trade agreements in the past to only see those agreements be whittled away by lack of enforcement. Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation is pleased by the enforcement actions which were started under the previous administration. The announcement yesterday by U.S. Trade Representative Katherine Tai is a major victory for Wisconsin dairy farmers.

WFBF hopes this decision emboldens the Biden Administration to continue to open additional export markets and trade partners because when presented with an equal playing field, Wisconsin dairy products can compete with anyone on a global stage. Consumers across the country have picked our state’s dairy products when given a choice and we welcome the news that our neighbors to the north will finally be given the same choice.”
