Professional Dairy Producers® (PDPW), announces the line-up of speakers for week 62 of The Dairy Signal™. Episodes this week feature a weather update, insights into hay quality and farm diversification options.

Eric Snodgrass, Principal Atmospheric Scientist for Nutrien Ag Solutions, returns to The Dairy Signal to review weather patterns impacting U.S. growing regions and an outlook for growing conditions through the summer. 

Dr. John Goeser, PhD, Director of Nutritional Research and Innovation at Rock River Lab, Inc., and Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Dairy Science Department at University of Wisconsin-Madison, will share nutritional analysis of this season’s hay crop and how to manage feed costs with high quality feeds. Kristin Quist, Dairy Manager, Minglewood, Inc., Deer Park, Wis., and Heather Moore, Owner, Moore Family Farms and Moore Local, Maquoketa, Iowa, will provide insights on starting and growing a successful on-farm business.

Developed by fellow dairy farmers from the PDPW Board of Directors, The Dairy Signal is a weekly series of free educational episodes offering insights and resources for fellow dairy farmers and other food system professionals throughout the value chain. The episodes air live from 12:00-1:00 PM CT each Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday; recorded sessions are available later in the day.
