Heim’s Hillcrest Dairy invites the community to spend the day on the farm with two exciting events. The farm is hosting the Farm-Fit Challenge 2025 in the morning and Moo-tober Fest 2025 in the afternoon.
Farm-Fit Challenge 2025
Check-in begins at 8 a.m. at E3731 Rockledge Road in Algoma.
This unique, farm-inspired obstacle course spans approximately two miles and is designed to test strength, agility, and endurance. Participants will take on authentic farm challenges such as flipping tractor tires, hauling calf feed, carrying gates, and climbing hay bales.
Built for all fitness levels, the Farm-Fit Challenge is a rewarding adventure for both first-time participants and seasoned athletes.
After crossing the finish line, guests can enjoy a fresh yogurt bar and take part in an optional guided tour of the working dairy farm.

Moo-tober Fest 2025
1-5 p.m. at Heim’s Hillcrest Dairy
The celebration continues with an afternoon of fall fun for the whole family. Admission is free. Highlights include:
- Farm tours by tram
- Live music
- Agriculture drone demonstrations
- Kids’ activities: hay maze, bounce house, games
- Mechanical bull rides
- Shopping with local vendors
- Local food & beverages for purchase
With activities for all ages, Moo-tober Fest promises to be a lively, family-friendly festival and a perfect way to celebrate the season.
“These events showcase the best of fitness, farming, and fall fun,” says Kiley Heim. “We’re excited to welcome the community to challenge themselves in the morning and then celebrate together in the afternoon.”
