Take A Look Into Raising Bison During A Pasture Walk

Back in Time Bison Ranch will be hosting a pasture walk. They are doing this to share their experience rotational grazing bison on 100 acres. John and Cindy have been raising bison for almost 3 years in Portage County and directly market their meat. This free event will be held on Thursday, June 19 from 4-7PM. Participants must RSVP by June 17th to attend.

Learn how raising bison differs from other livestock. We’ll start the evening in the barn with
a presentation on Bison Basics followed by a pasture “walk” or rather hayride across the farm.
John and Cindy Gedritis will share their management experience. They will show us their unique handling facilities, and try to help us catch a glimpse at the newest calves. The event will finish
with a sampling of Back in Time Bison meat as well as with refreshments and a look into a soil pit!
This is a great opportunity for anyone curious about managed grazing of bison.

This event is brought to you by Golden Sands Resource Conservation & Development Council, Inc with support from USDA-NRCS and the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation.
