Stop At Pork Schoppe

Have you been hungry for Wisconsin State Fair food? Make sure to support Wisconsin pork products at the Pork Schoppe August 5-15.

Mikayla Wehrle, Assistant Program Director of the Wisconsin Pork Association, has been helping coordinate this year’s Pork Schoppe. This year, there will be pork chops on a stick, pork burgers, seasonings, and BBQ sauce – but if you’re planning to purchase that Wehrle says, “Come early if you’re expecting to get that!”

When you eat at the Pork Schoppe, you are supporting Wisconsin Pork Products. “Pork is one of those things that people don’t always love until they try it and have it in a good experience” Wehrle says. The pork products will also speak volumes when you taste it. Wehrle says, “We’re going to produce a pork burger that has plenty of flavor, but doesn’t overpower the palate.” They will have a new grill and professional chef’s to make this year’s delicious pork products at the Wisconsin State Fair.

Their stop will have family fun for all with t-shirts for sale and a backdrop for pictures to take. They will also broadcast the show pig show in the tent. Since the Wisconsin State Fair is opening later than typical and with a shorter period of time Wehrle says, “I expect big crowds and we should be pushing a lot of pork products”

With big crowds, volunteers are still needed for the evenings of August 8, 10, & 12. Email [email protected] to sign up for this opportunity to serve Wisconsin pork products.
