State Corn And Bean Prices Head Higher

The March 2021 average price received by farmers for corn in Wisconsin was $4.75 per bushel according to the latest USDA, National Agricultural Statistics Service – Agricultural Prices report. This was up 1 cent from February and $1.24 above the previous March.

The March soybean price, at $13.00 per bushel, was unchanged from February but up $4.70 from the previous March.
The March oat price was $3.15 per bushel, 16 cents above the February price but 11 cents below March 2020.

All hay prices in Wisconsin averaged $159.00 per ton in March, down $7.00 from February and $14.00 below March 2020. The alfalfa hay price averaged $172.00 per ton in March, down $7.00 from February and $8.00 below the previous March. The other hay price averaged $117.00, down $1.00 from February and down $36.00 from the March 2020 price.

The March average price for milk was $17.50 per cwt, up 30 cents from February but 60 cents below March a year ago. Prices received for milk cows for dairy herd replacement averaged $1,490 per head as of April 1, 2021.
