Hinchley’s Dairy Farm is no stranger to opening its doors to guests far and wide. On June 14, the Hinchley family will welcome community members to their farm for the Dane County Breakfast on the Farm.
Featuring a menu of cheesy scrambled eggs, pancakes, sausage, yogurt, cheese, ice cream, milk, and coffee, the breakfast offers something for everyone. Visitors can expect a real, family-owned, farming experience. Designed to be an educational experience, the event will feature more than just a hearty breakfast. Attendees will see the farm in action, hear from industry professionals, and witness cheese carving, among other things.
“It’s an opportunity for us to open our doors and shine what the dairy industry is for Wisconsin, but also to let these consumers know this is where it starts. This is us. This is what we’re doing and why we’re doing it,” says Tina Hinchley.
Hosting tours of their farm is a craft they have perfected over the last two decades.
Tickets are $10/person for those ages 12 and over, $5/person for those ages 3-11, and free for attendees 2 years of age and younger. Parking, entertainment, and featured activities are included in the ticket price.
Duane, Tina, and their daughter Anna milk 240 cows with their Lely robots and have 2,300 acres of cropland. Their operation features state-of-the-art equipment that prioritizes cow comfort and care.
