
Alsum Farms & Produce is proud to announce the grower, packer, shipper’s high school senior scholarship program. The program will award ten $1,000 scholarships to deserving students to further their education and invest in the future of agriculture. Graduating high school seniors with an agriculture or rural background, or those who plan to major in an agriculture-related field at a community college, university or technical school are encouraged to apply between now and March 15.
Each scholarship recipient will receive $1,000 for educational tuition expenses. Qualified applicants must be graduating seniors who reside in Alsum Farms & Produce growing or packing region. Recipients will be selected based on a combination of academic achievement; agricultural, community and youth organization involvement; and essays.
“We are proud to be able to invest in future leaders in agriculture and our rural communities through the Alsum Farms & Produce scholarship program,” said Heidi Alsum-Randall, Alsum Farms & Produce Chief Operating Officer. “We believe in supporting these young adults and are optimistic these students will seek careers in Wisconsin agriculture and the businesses that support agriculture.”
