Food + Farm Exploration Center is proud to announce Rooted in Gratitude, its annual fundraising event celebrating agriculture and the people who make it possible.

Rooted in Gratitude is the annual fundraising event for Food + Farm Exploration Center—an evening that brings the community together to celebrate agriculture while fueling hands-on learning experiences, educational programming, and opportunities that connect people of all ages to the story of their food, from field to fork.

Each year, the event highlights a theme that reflects the people and stories shaping agriculture. In 2026, Rooted in Gratitude will focus on Women in Agriculture, aligning with the International Year of the Woman Farmer and celebrating the leadership and impact of women across Wisconsin’s agricultural industry.

Rooted in Gratitude will take place on Thursday, September 17, 2026, from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Food + Farm Exploration Center in Plover, Wisconsin. Tickets and event details are available at:

Proceeds from the event support hands-on educational programming, including field trips, culinary experiences, demonstration fields, and accessible learning opportunities for all ages.

“Rooted in Gratitude is more than a fundraiser—it’s an opportunity to recognize the individuals who are driving agriculture forward while ensuring we can continue to educate and inspire future generations,” said Amy Wiernik, Donor Development Director of Food + Farm Exploration Center.

As part of this year’s theme, Food + Farm Exploration Center is seeking nominations to honor women across Wisconsin who are making a meaningful impact in agriculture. From farmers and innovators to educators and advocates, these individuals play a vital role in sustaining and advancing the industry.

Nominations are now open. Community members are encouraged to submit the names of women who are making a difference in Wisconsin agriculture.

“By honoring these incredible women, we not only celebrate their achievements but also inspire the next generation to see themselves in agriculture,” added Wiernik.
