Organic certified operations can apply to be reimbursed for 75% of eligible certification-related costs – up to $750 per scope of certification – through the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection’s Organic Certification Cost Share Program (OCCSP).
The current deadline to apply is October 31, 2024. Although we have not historically run out of OCCSP funding, applications are processed on a first come, first served basis.
Organic operations can apply for OCCSP funds via three different methods:
- Mail the application and documents to the following address: DATCP-DAD Organic Cost Share Program PO Box 8911 Madison, WI 53708
- Email the application and documents to datcporganiccostshare@wisconsin.gov
- Use the online form to fill out the application and upload documents at https://form.jotform.com/231435431816149
Additional information, including application materials and instructions, can be found online at DATCP’s Organic Cost Share Program webpage.
You can provide supporting documentation with your application, but it is also acceptable to provide it at a later date. If your certifying agency agrees to do so, they can provide supporting documentation verifying your certification and proof of payment.
