The Wisconsin Cattlemen’s Association is inviting beef producers to its 2025 Summer Production Tour on Saturday, June 28. This annual event brings together producers for a day of learning, networking, and on-farm experiences in southeast Wisconsin.
The first stop will be at Adams Land and Cattle, located near Lake Geneva. This fourth-generation family farm manages about 1,500 acres of crops and around 180 head of cattle. The Adams family raises Angus, Charolais, crossbred beef cattle, and dairy-cross calves. They also host farm-to-fork tours to help connect consumers with farming. Attendees will learn how this operation combines family tradition with forward-thinking practices.
Next, the tour will visit The DeLong Co., Inc. in Clinton. This sixth-generation agribusiness has served farmers for over 110 years. DeLong operates across six divisions including grain, seed, agronomy, and exports. The company is now a leader in containerized grain exports with 39 locations in seven states. Attendees will hear how the company supports rural communities while growing on a national scale.
The third stop is Country Pride Meats in Clinton, a custom meat processor and retail shop. The company handles beef, pork, lamb, goats, bison, and also elk. They offer over 30 bratwurst flavors, as well as other sausages and snack sticks made in-house. Visitors will enjoy lunch featuring Country Pride’s popular Philly Cheese Steak Beef Brats and learn more about value-added meat marketing.
The final stop is Blueprint Genetics LLC in Janesville. This facility focuses on embryo transfer (ET) and in vitro fertilization (IVF) to improve herd genetics. They provide donor housing, nutrition services, and veterinary support for both cows and calves. Guests will enjoy refreshments while learning how genetics services can increase herd value.
The event also features guest speakers, including Wisconsin Beef Council Executive Director Tammy Vaassen. The day will conclude with recognition of the 2025 award and scholarship recipients.
Lunch, hors d’oeuvres, and educational stops are all included in the registration fee. The cost is $50 per person or $45 for groups of four or more. Transportation is not provided. A Wisconsin Cattlemen’s Association membership is not required. Registration is open at wisconsincattlemen.com/events/summer-tour.
