The Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection appointed Jen Pino-Gallagher to the Wisconsin Agricultural Education and Workforce Development Council. Pino-Gallagher is the director of Food and Agribusiness Practice at M3 Insurance.
This marks a three-year term during which she will serve as a representative of general agriculture.
The WAEWDC plays a vital role in advancing Wisconsin’s agricultural education initiatives and addressing workforce development challenges across the state. As an appointee, Pino-Gallagher will support the development of a skilled workforce for Wisconsin’s agriculture industry.
Pino-Gallagher’s extensive expertise in food and agribusiness has positioned her as a leader in the industry. At M3, she leans on her experience growing up on a dairy farm in Northeast Iowa and leading teams at DATCP to provide strategic insights to help agribusiness organizations manage risk. Her deep understanding of supply chains and industry best practices aligns with WAEWDC’s mission to foster education and workforce solutions for agriculture.
“I’m honored to join the WAEWDC and contribute to its critical mission of preparing our agricultural workforce for the future,” says Pino-Gallagher. “As someone deeply passionate about supporting the success of our critically important food and agribusiness industries, I look forward to collaborating with other council members to strengthen education and workforce opportunities for this vital sector.”
WAEWDC is tasked with bringing together stakeholders across agriculture, education, and workforce development to develop innovative strategies and actionable policies. Pino-Gallagher’s proven track record of leadership in the food and agribusiness sectors will be instrumental in advancing these efforts.
