Performance Bull Sale sees 53 bulls average over $3,500

The Wisconsin Beef Improvement Association held its 64th annual Performance Bull Sale on Saturday, April 3rd. Listed below are the results of that sale, courtesy of the WBIA.

Specific Breed lnformation:
Tim Ryan, Ryan Cattle of Lodi, W and David Kuhle, Kuhle Family Farm, Hazel Green, W, each consigned a top selling Angus bull in this year’s WBIA bullsale. Ryan’$ bull, lot# 20, a Baldridge 38 Special son sold for $6,500 to Country Gate Farm in Reeseville, Wisconsin. The Kuhle bull, Lot # 53 a Kuhle Rampage 210 D150 son was the other top selling bull in the sale. That animal also an Angus was sold to Amos Troester of Gamavillo, lA. Andrew Johnson, a new consignor to the bull test sold Lot # 8, a DL Dualty son, to Robert Beswick of Greely, lA. That bull sold for $5,750.

Double A Simmentals from Janesville, M sold the top two priced Simmental bulls at the sale. Lot # 7 sold for $5,750 to Leonard Weber. This bull a KBHR $niper E036 son was the top selling Simmental bull. Weber also purchased the second high selling Simmental bull a KBHR Sniper son for $5,500. This bull was also consigned by the Arndt family.

The top selling Red Angus bullwas consigned by Johnson Family Cattle Co. from Shawano, W, Lot # 52 sold for $5,250 to Travis Kramer, Wauzeka, tM. This bull was a son of Thomas Jefferson, 55602. Three thousand dollars was paid for the next two top selling Red Angus bulls. Lot # 68, a SL The Real Deal 1887-1438B son was purchased by Allissa Grenawalt of Beloit, W. Mia Gibson of Elgin, lA was the consignor. The other Red Angus bull selling for $3,000 was a $ilverius Mission Nexus 1378 son was purchased by Arnold and Alicia Adams of Platteville, Wisconsin. This bull was consigned by the UW Platteville Pioneer Farm.

Lundell Family Cattle, Livingston, W sold the two top selling SimmentalAngus Composite bulls. Lot # 23 a WC Hat Trick 2101D son sold for $4,250 to Joshua Jacobi of Calamus, IA. Lot #50 also a WC Hat Trick 21CI1D son sold for $3,000. Randy Gill ffom Shullsburg, W is the owner of Lot # 50.
