The Supreme Exhibitor award is based on a junior exhibitor’s overall achievements at the 2025 Fair. This is from points earned participating in the Junior Swine show, Quiz contest, Communication contest and Showmanship. We would like to congratulate Owen Fleming, our 2025 Wisconsin State Fair Swine Supreme Exhibitor!
Owen was introduced to showing pigs by his parents who bred Berkshire, Duroc, and Hampshire show pigs. He began showing when he was five years old attending local jackpot shows in the summer, Walworth County Open Show, and Wisconsin State Fair Open Show.
For the past seven years, Owen has been an active exhibitor at Wisconsin State Fair. He participated in showing in the breeding and market swine shows. In addition, he enjoys participating in the swine quiz and communication contests. There he has won the quiz contest and placed fourth in communications. A memorable highlight from this year was wining reserve champion for the 16-year-old showmanship class. This year was Owen’s first year exhibiting Junior Market Lambs at Wisconsin State Fair where he was thrilled to participate in showmanship and have a top ten placing in performance lambs. Next year, Owen looks forward to attending college to further his education in agriculture in addition to judging livestock at county fairs and jackpot shows in the Midwest.
Owen narrowed down all of his favorite memories from showing at Wisconsin State Fair to two that stand out. In 2018, he had the Open Swine show champion Overall Duroc. Last year he received reserve champion Hereford barrow in the Junior Swine show.
