The annual fall gathering of Sheep Dairy Association of WI members, families and friends hosted by Amy and Travis Forgues of Hidden Springs Creamery in Westby, WI.
This family-friendly event will include a brief informational overview of the sheep dairy industry and supporting groups; a presentation about Hidden Springs Creamery by Amy and Travis Forgues, owners, dairy sheep producers and cheesemakers; presentation of our annual Friend of the Sheep Dairy Industry Award; a sheep milk cheese tasting of 6 of our cheesemaker members’ cheeses; a tour of Hidden Springs’ processing plant, storage, aging rooms, etc. by Amy Forgues; a tour of dairy sheep facilities, including lambing area, etc. by Travis Forgues, gathering to watch the “running of the ewes” and observation of milking.
This event and all the activities listed are free! We cordially invite you, your friends and your family to a fun afternoon at Hidden Springs Creamery in Westby to learn about all things sheep dairy while tasting our cheeses and exploring the gorgeous driftless area of Westby.
