New Program Invests In Future Of Meat Industry

Governor Tony Evers recently announced the launch of Wisconsin’s new meat talent development program, which will provide financial support to students interested in meat processing.

Randy Romanski, DATCP Secretary of the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, says that this program will help attract new students to the industry, while also increasing awareness for careers in the meat industry.

On top of this program, meat processor grant applications are also being accepted through Friday, January 14th. These grants are aimed to grow Wisconsin’s meat industry and improve its long-term viability through updates to meat processing establishments.
