New Dairy Signal Topics Announced

Professional Dairy Producers® (PDPW), announces the line-up of speakers for week 77 of The Dairy Signal™. Episodes this week will focus on nutrient management plans, the latest research on heat stress, and dairy market updates.

Matthew Oehmichen, part owner of Short Lane Ag Supply, and David Trimner, General Manager, Miltrim Farms, Inc., Athens, Wis., will share insights on effectively managing and getting the most out of nutrient management plans. 

Bethany Dado-Senn, Graduate Research Assistant, Lactation Physiology, Department of Animal & Dairy Sciences, UW-Madison; Brittney DavidsonGraduate Research AssistantDepartment of Animal & Dairy Sciences, UW-Madison; and Jimena Laporta, Assistant Professor Lactation Physiology, Department of Animal & Dairy Sciences, will present the next “Rising Stars – Graduate Research Showcase” focused on effects of heat stress on dairy cattle and effective heat abatement.

Dan Basse, Economist and President of AgResource Company, will return to The Dairy Signal for his bi-weekly update on dairy markets and the latest news across the industry.

Developed by fellow dairy farmers from the PDPW Board of Directors, The Dairy Signal is a weekly series of free educational episodes offering insights and resources for fellow dairy farmers and other food system professionals throughout the value chain. The episodes air live from 12:00-1:00 PM CT each Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday; recorded sessions are available later in the day.
