New Dairy Signal Line-Up, Week 66

Professional Dairy Producers® (PDPW), announces the line-up of speakers for week 66 of The Dairy Signal™. Episodes this week will highlight getting ahead of a key disease, a look at crop progress and impact on nutrition programs, and an update on groundwater and nitrogen-use efficiency research.

Dr. Darlene Konkle, DVM, MS, DACVIM, State Veterinarian, Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection, Dr. Elisabeth Patton, DVM, PhD, Diplomate ACVIM, Assistant State Veterinarian, Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection and Steve Maddox, Maddox Dairy, Burrel, California will provide an update on bovine tuberculosis and tips to protect your herd and prevent disease spread.

Dr. John Goeser, PhD, Director of Nutritional Research & Innovation at Rock River Lab, Inc., and Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Dairy Science Department at University of Wisconsin-Madison, and Scott Fleming, Nutrient Management Specialist and Sampling Director from Rock River Lab, will review the quality of hay and corn crops and the potential impact on dairy nutritional needs.  Amber Radatz, Co-Director, Discovery Farms and Ryan Heiderman, Nitrogen Projects Coordinator, Discovery Farms will share updates on groundwater and nitrogen-use efficiency research.

Developed by fellow dairy farmers from the PDPW Board of Directors, The Dairy Signal is a weekly series of free educational episodes offering insights and resources for fellow dairy farmers and other food system professionals throughout the value chain. The episodes air live from 12:00-1:00 PM CT each Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday; recorded sessions are available later in the day.
