The Wisconsin Agri-Business Association has welcomed a new executive director, Grace Howe. She’s been with the association for a year and a half but started the leadership position this past November. Her predecessor Tom Bressner will stay on in an advisory role until he retires in July.
Grace introduces herself and tells us how her agricultural background brought her to WABA:
After a competitive hiring process that included over 30 applicants and interviews with five highly-qualified candidates from across the agricultural industry, the WABA Board of Directors announced in early October that Grace Howe will be the next executive director.
Since June of 2023, Howe has served as WABA’s Director of Policy and Communications. She assumed the new leadership role on Nov. 1. Bressner will remain on staff until his retirement to ensure a smooth transition.
Howe will oversee the strategic direction of WABA, working closely with the association’s board, members, and partners to further its mission of supporting and promoting the agricultural business sector throughout Wisconsin. She will be responsible for spearheading initiatives that address industry needs, advocate for agri-business interests, and drive innovation within the sector.
