The Wisconsin Pork Association is excited to announce that Victorria Meylor is joining the team as the intern starting June 3.
Originally from Darlington, Meylor is currently a junior at UW-Platteville. She is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Business. Meylor’s agricultural roots run deep. She was raised on her family’s dairy and commercial sow farms. She was active in FFA and 4-H during high school. After graduation, she joined Block and Bridle, Southwest Wisconsin Pork Producers, Wisconsin Pork Association, and Wisconsin Corn Growers Association, to name a few.

Meylor is eager to learn more about the pork industry. She specifically noted that she wants to learn about other production practices, gain professional leadership and communication skills, promote pork, and protect Wisconsin’s right to farm.
Meylor will serve as the official youth representative of the Wisconsin Pork Association. During her internship, she will focus on marketing and promoting the pork industry. More specifically, her duties will include helping coordinate state fair events such as Pork Schoppe and Hall of Fame. Meylor will also help promote and implement producer programming, job shadow individuals at the national offices, develop social media posts, create publications, develop and execute a special project, attend board meetings, interact with producers and allied industry members, visit hog farms and other businesses, and create a final presentation upon completion of her internship.
