Wisconsin producers excelled at the 40th World Forage Analysis Superbowl, with Meadow Brook Dairy Farms of Manitowoc named the Grand Champion Forage Producer.
Their BMR Corn Silage entry earned them the top prize of $2,500, sponsored by Legacy Seeds, during the Brevant Seeds Forage Superbowl Luncheon at the World Dairy Expo.
Several Wisconsin farms also stood out in other categories. Nuttleman Farms of Bangor took 1st place in the Grand Champion Baleage category, while Seth Huizenga of Brandon secured 2nd place, and Rick Frozene Farm of Westfield claimed 3rd.
In the Grand Champion Grass Hay category, Ciolkosz Dairy of Thorp won 1st place, and Rosedale Farm of Oxford placed 4th, with Church Farms of Grand Marsh finishing in 5th.
Excelerant Genetics of Lena took home 5th place in the Grand Champion Dairy Hay competition. In the Grand Champion Alfalfa Haylage category, Pine Court Farm of Greenwood secured 2nd place.
Wisconsin also shone in the Grand Champion Mixed/Grass Haylage, with Seven Oaks Dairy LLC of Kaukauna winning 2nd, Excelerant Genetics of Lena placing 3rd, Jonathan Ehst of Cadott taking 4th, and Bragger Dairy of Independence rounding out the top five in 5th place.
The Grand Champion BMR Corn Silage category saw Horsens Homestead of Cecil crowned the winner, while Vanderlinden Farms of Greenleaf and Wayside Dairy of Greenleaf secured 3rd and 4th places, respectively.
