Mayer Joins Edge Team

Edge Dairy Farmer Cooperative announced Kayla Mayer as the newest addition to the company’s communication team. Mayer will serve as the marketing and communications manager. She works closely with Director of Communications Laura Hensley to oversee strategic direction, create creative assets and offers overall communications support on behalf of the association and its affiliates.

Mayer received her bachelor’s degree in design arts with a double emphasis in photography and graphic design from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. In her previous role, Mayer oversaw marketing campaigns from conception to final execution. This involved social media management and the development of promotional materials.

Mayer has close ties to agriculture. She and her husband own a small herd of registered Brown Swiss and Red and White Holsteins, which they bring to national-level cattle shows. Mayer is also a proud mother to two boys, ages 3 and 10 months. She enjoys watching her children grow up and develop an appreciation for life on the farm.

“I’m beyond excited to join the Edge Team,” said Mayer. There are many exciting things happening at the cooperative and its affiliate organizations. I’m extremely happy to be a part of it.”

Edge’s CEO Tim Trotter says Mayer plays a critical role in building out a successful communications team.

“At Edge, we’re carefully creating a communications team that meets the needs of our cooperative and its affiliate organizations,” said Tim Trotter, Edge Dairy Farmer Cooperative CEO. “Mayer’s extensive experience and impressive background make her a valuable addition to the team.”
