Legislators Ask Trump To Support Soybean Farmers

A bipartisan coalition of legislators from across the state, led by State Reps. Jenna Jacobson and Clinton Anderson, and Sens. Mark Spreitzer and Brad Pfaff, delivered a letter to President Donald Trump in support of Wisconsin soybean farmers negatively impacted by tariff policy.

The letter calls on the president to recognize the damage being done to soybean farmers in Wisconsin caused by China’s boycott of American soybeans due to the administration’s tariff policy. Additionally, it urges President Trump to resolve the trade war with China in order to restore access to a vital market for Wisconsin farmers.

Thirty legislators signed on to the letter, and it was delivered to the White House on Tuesday.
