The scholarship honors the late George Miller and his significant contributions to the dairy and A.I. industries.
“Early experiences gave me confidence that my future would be rooted in the dairy industry,” says Breunig. “While my vision for a career has evolved over the years, dairy remains at the center of my focus. Beyond my career, I plan to dedicate my personal time to promoting the industry that means so much to me.”
Lauren is attending UW-Madison, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in life sciences communication. She grew up on her family’s Mystic Valley Dairy, active with their Registered Holstein herd and advocating for agriculture with consumers. She is a former Wisconsin Holstein Princess and has held leadership roles with Badger Dairy Club, Association of Women in Agriculture, and National Agri-Marketing Association. She’s is also a member of the UW-Madison dairy judging team.
Lauren hopes to pursue a career that combines her interest in communications as well as strategic marketing, consulting, and innovation to support dairy producers.
