Landmark Creamery & Café, founded and owned by award-winning cheese and butter maker Anna Landmark continues to expand. Based in Paoli, just minutes from Madison, the creamery has been producing small-batch artisan cheese for over a decade, shipping nationally.
Now, Landmark will offer a new café and retail destination for cheese and butter lovers with the opening of Landmark Creamery & Café inside of Seven Acre Dairy Company. Seven Acre is in Paoli, just down the road from the processor’s aging caves and former store. The café will offer a larger selection of cheese and butter, unique gift items, as well as a full breakfast and lunch menu on weekdays showcasing the creamery’s cheese and butter.
The menu includes sandwiches created on house-made biscuits, unique grilled cheeses, and Landmark’s famous Raclette Dog, now offered every day of the week. Formerly Seven Acre’s “Dairy Cafe” the new café will continue to serve Seven Acre’s signature soft serve, freshly baked pastries, as well as a full coffee and espresso menu.
“Landmark and Seven Acre had already partnered to create artisan butter, with Landmark producing our butter in the small custom-built dairy facility at Seven Acre, so it was a natural fit to explore how we could expand our offerings within the same space,” Landmark says. “Partnering with Seven Acre Dairy Company helps us achieve our dream of creating a place for the community to gather and enjoy Wisconsin-made cheese and butter–a true dairy lover’s destination. We can now offer expanded hours, a larger retail space, and a bigger menu.”
What More?
With the expansion into Seven Acre, Landmark Creamery now offers tours of their cheese aging rooms at the cheese caves just across the bridge from Seven Acre Dairy Co.
The tours and classes are an opportunity to see inside the caves and get to know Landmark’s cheese through a personalized tasting with the cheesemaker.
Landmark Creamery is also offering a new “Cheese and Butter Club.” This is a cheese and butter version of a CSA. Recipients can enjoy curated boxes of Landmark’s award-winning cheese and butter and other local favorites plus unique artisan cheeses made around the country.
