Lamb Saw National Price Increase

Lamb prices were higher nationally last week. Good demand was noted for heavier lambs. The lamb cutout value finished last week at $545.32, compared to $548.92 the previous Friday. USDA estimates 38,000 sheep and lambs were harvested last week. That is 2,000 more than the previous week and 3,000 more than a year ago. Lamb and mutton production is slightly higher than 2025 so far this year, with 3% more sheep and lambs harvested.
