Last week brought steady lamb prices once again during a time we normally see a seasonal decline. Domestic demand for lamb has been good, and lower lamb weights continue to impact supply. The lamb cutout value was $517, making it $2.50 higher than the previous Friday. Harvest numbers have remained steady recently. Last week’s estimated harvest of 40,000 head matched the previous week and was 1,000 fewer than a year ago.
