Looking for a dynamic summer experience? The Wisconsin State Fair is seeking 2025 Summer Assistants for the Agriculture Department.
As a Summer Assistant, you’ll be integral to preparing for the Fair, supporting livestock shows, and developing agriculture education programs. This role offers hands-on experience working both independently and collaboratively.
Responsibilities
- Perform data entry, communicate with exhibitors, and provide customer service.
- Set up and manage agriculture exhibits like the Compeer Financial Discovery Barnyard and livestock barns.
- Design educational activities to captivate fairgoers.
- Assist with the Dairy Products competition and other agricultural events.
- Oversee livestock changeovers and assist visitors and exhibitors.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools.
- Professional demeanor and keen attention to detail.
- Flexibility to handle fast-paced and unpredictable situations.
Position Details
- Must be available to work July 27–August 13.
- On-site housing provided during this period.
- Compensation is $17 per hour.
