Kickstart Your Summer with the Wisconsin State Fair Agriculture Team

Looking for a dynamic summer experience? The Wisconsin State Fair is seeking 2025 Summer Assistants for the Agriculture Department.

As a Summer Assistant, you’ll be integral to preparing for the Fair, supporting livestock shows, and developing agriculture education programs. This role offers hands-on experience working both independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

  • Perform data entry, communicate with exhibitors, and provide customer service.
  • Set up and manage agriculture exhibits like the Compeer Financial Discovery Barnyard and livestock barns.
  • Design educational activities to captivate fairgoers.
  • Assist with the Dairy Products competition and other agricultural events.
  • Oversee livestock changeovers and assist visitors and exhibitors.

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools.
  • Professional demeanor and keen attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to handle fast-paced and unpredictable situations.

Position Details

  • Must be available to work July 27–August 13.
  • On-site housing provided during this period.
  • Compensation is $17 per hour.
