Hussaini Joins Equity Livestock

Equity Cooperative Livestock Sales Association is pleased to announce that Abdullah Hussaini has joined the cooperative’s staff. Hussaini will assist the commodities department and will work with producers on managing price risk. He is responsible for developing marketing plans for producers and working with them to reduce risk exposure.

Hussaini will assist with commodity brokerage through Allendale, Inc. and coordinate cattle contracts. “The cooperative continues to offer full-service commodity trading, and Hussaini looks forward to assisting members with their commodity needs,” says Dave Johnson, vice president of marketing.

Hussaini has a bachelor’s degree in agricultural business management from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, along with certifi cates in entrepreneurship, environmental studies and food systems. He was a student spotlight in the college of ag and life sciences commencement and was very involved in Grassland 2.0, looking for ways to increase sustainable grass based ruminant agriculture.

Equity Cooperative Livestock Sales Association is a federated cooperative headquartered in Baraboo, Wisconsin. Equity operates 11 auction markets and has collection points in Ettrick, Wisconsin, and Menominee, Michigan, and has a hog and cattle marketing center in Arlington, Wisconsin. Equity services producers with the marketing, managing and financing of their agricultural businesses.
